When the BC Ambulance Infant Transport Team moves an incredibly fragile and tiny patient to the leading Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in western Canada – located at BC Women’s Hospital in Vancouver – time is of the essence…
The Purica Foundation Gala 2018
It is with great pleasure that the Purica Foundation will be hosting
our 2nd Gala Evening supporting continued efforts to raise funds
needed to build Cowichan Valley’s first Hospice House.
Last year, our sold out event raised $130,000.00 for the Cowichan
Hospice House Project and kicked off a year of recognition and
donations for this major undertaking. With each donation, our
valley is closer to seeing this vision come to fruition.
Now for the fun part. . .
We would love to have your support in this endeavor. On November 3, 2018, Mellor Hall will once again be transformed into a different era of music, fun and entertainment. It is with great anticipation that we bring to our supporters…
We are hoping that this year we can rely on last year’s contributors as well as gain the support of new ones. It really is a special event supporting a very good cause. There are different ways in which you can contribute, for instance, sponsorship, auction donations and in-kind donations. Our board is labored in love. Our ticket sales cover the expenses, so sponsorship funds go directly to the Cowichan
Hospice House Project. Attached for your consideration is our event brochure providing more information regarding sponsorship ideas, marketing opportunities, information about the Purica Foundation and Hospice House as well as our plans for this year’s Gala Event.
We look forward to hearing from you and please feel free to contact us at email@example.com with any questions, comments or concerns you may have.

About the artist
Adonis Puentes was destined to be a music star. Sabor a Café, nominated as World Music Album Of The Year at 2014 Canadian Juno Awards, his latest CD and first collection of all self-composed original songs, fulfills the Cuban-Canadian singer’s destiny.
Adonis and his fraternal twin Alexis, now better known as Alex Cuba, were born in 1974 in Artemisa, Cuba. Their father, Valentin Puentes is a well-respected musician and teacher, and at six the twins were playing in a children’s guitar ensemble.

Purica is a whole foods and natural supplements company based in Duncan BC, serving over 3000 retailers across Canada and have ventured into the United States and overseas.
With so much support from their community, founders Trevor, Marnie, Jason and Anna Watkin wanted to give back in a meaningful way and created the Purica Foundation, a fund held with the Victoria Foundation, designed to generate charitable donations, fundraising initiatives, and promotional support for key community initiatives.
The Purica Foundation fundraising committee is excited to announce that the recipient of its donation this year will be the Cowichan Hospice House Project.
Cowichan Hospice staff and volunteers do an amazing job of providing compassionate care, emotional support, information, and companionship to people and their families dealing with advancing illness and grief.
What we don’t have in Cowichan is a Hospice House- a place to live well at the end of life. A place to die with support, safety, and dignity, in a home-like setting. A place where expert medical care is provided, focussed on a person’s own goals and priorities.
Please join the Purica Foundation to help make Cowichan Hospice House a reality. You matter. Your family matters. Especially at the end of life.
The Purica Foundation Committee
The Purica Foundation is managed by a 11-person-strong committee that successfully blends a wide-range of skills and talents, including financial management, marketing, fundraising, communications, graphic design, visual arts and performing arts.
Committee members share an unwavering commitment to help others to reach their full potential and to work as a team to create positive long-lasting change in our Cowichan communities.
